  • Complete Utilization of All Filter Surface Area All the Time

  • Any Disc Can Be Isolated

  • Linear backwash mechanism ensures uniform cleaning with no tip speeds

  • Reuse Quality Filtrate

  • Small Footprint to Flow Ratio

  • Low Backwash Rates

  • High Solids and Hydraulic Loading Capacities

  • Uninterrupted Flow During Backwash Cycle

The Ashbrook Iso-Disc™ Disk Filter utilizes an outside-in flow pattern, and a stationary disk to minimize mechanical requirements of the system. The disk modules are designed for easy removal without the need to dewater the tank or take the system offline. All components of the system are constructed from corrosion
resistant materials that have been designed for continuous operation.

HOW IT WORKS

The wastewater enters the tank through the influent flange. As the water passes through the cloth material, it enters into the core of each disk module. The water exits each disk through one filtrate line located on the top of the disk. This line passes the filtrate to the filtrate collection trough. During the normal filtration process, the entire filter is in a static mode. As the filter cloth collects solids on the outer surface, headloss across the media gradually increases to a set point elevation in the tank. At this point, the backwash
system activates a linear cleaning manifold which suctions captured solids from the filter.  Influent will continue to be processed during the backwash cleaning cycle, allowing for continuous filtration, 24 hours per day.
PLC CONTROLLED BACKFLUSH

The backwash cleaning system is controlled by a PLC based operation system furnished with the filter equipment. The cleaning mechanism will not be in contact with the filter cloth. This eliminates any possibility of solids being forced into and through the cloth or unnecessary wear to the cloth. The filter cloth is removable and replaceable in the field.

BASIN CONFIGURATIONS

The Iso-Disc™ Disk Filter can be installed into a concrete structure (supplied by others), pre-fabricated carbon steel tank with two part epoxy coating, stainless steel tanks or FRP tanks mounted on a skid.
