Ashbrook Simon-Hartley offer two thickening technology options to cover the full range of sludge throughputs:

  • DAB System - 'in vessel' thickeners for throughputs of 1.5-12.5 m³/hr.
  • ABCT Aquabelt - gravity belt thickeners for throughputs of 15-150m3 /hr

Both technologies have the flexibility to process SAS, primary or mixed sludge and take sludge feeds as thin as 0.5% ds. In typical applications DAB's and Aquabelts are used to produce a thickened sludge of 3 to 6% ds but have the flexibility to thicken up to 7 to 8% ds where required.




DAB System
The DAB System opens up the possibility of thickening sludge on-site at remote or smaller STWs. It is a very low cost solution for local thickening that yields significant savings by dramatically reducing the volume of sludge transported away for centralised thickening.
